Graduated Response

SEND Support and Provision – Torbay’s guide to the Graduated Response for Inclusion

Our new Graduated Response toolkits are designed to support any child or young person where there is a concern about an additional need.

The introductory document and five toolkits have been co-produced with parents and carers alongside our partners from health, education and social care.

The ethos of our SEND Support and Provision documents is about ensuring our children receive the right support, at the right time and in the right place. We believe with early identification and the right intervention we can ensure our children and young people get the best outcomes. These toolkits will be the method by which this support is delivered by all partners across our local area.

There is also a specialist Early Years toolkit and one is being developed for post-16 providers.

We’ll be moving all this information over to the new Family Hubs website over the next few months, where it will be more accessible and interactive.

Our introductory document gives an overview.

We’ve produced five toolkits around specific needs:

And finally a toolkit specially requested by our parents and carers:

In September, we’ll also be holding launch workshops for parents so they can learn more.
