What happens if you have been overpaid.
Housing Benefit overpayments happen when we pay more benefit than someone is entitled to.
You may be overpaid because we were given incorrect information when we assessed your claim or we were not told about a change in circumstances.
In most cases if we have paid too much Housing Benefit, you will have to pay it back.
