Youth work is about involving you in your own active decision making. This starts with choosing to engage with the youth work process. It is entirely voluntary.

Our Youth Service uses the National Youth Agency youth work curriculum as part of our informal education processes.
The Torbay Youth Service team sit within Torbay Family Hubs.
We are also part of the Youth Hub with the Young Carers Service and YDAS Drug and Alcohol Service.
Torbay Youth Service works with young people within our target age range of 11 to 17 years. We offer a dedicated climbing session for children aged 8 to 10. We also run a skills group for young people aged 16 to 19.
Our friendly youth work team consists of:
3 youth support workers are full time and 3 are part time.
Our experienced and valued volunteer youth support workers and trained Young Adult volunteers support our group work.
Torbay Youth Service has a targeted youth work offer. It is for young people who may welcome 1 to 1 youth work support as part of our Flip the Script Programme.
We can also talk to you about the groups and activities on offer in Torbay as part of our Youth Service Community Offer or through our partners.
Family help is a way of working which brings together workers from all different services to support children, young people, and families.
Our Flip the Script offer is open to young people who are referred to us as part of Our Family Help Pathway. Please see the information below about the referral process.
We also have an open access Youth Offer for young people. You are welcome to join us as part of our groups and activities. Please see our Torbay Youth Service Family Hub page for the up to date offer.
