Family Hubs bring together all the support a family may need. They provide a welcoming space for families from pregnancy through to young people turning 19 (or 25 if they experience SEND).
Each town in Torbay has a Family Hub. They are a great place to get information, advice and support from health visitors, maternity services and family support workers. Parents, carers and people expecting a baby can get help with:

Health visitors are specially trained nurses or midwives who work with public health nurses and community nursery nurses. Together they help families stay healthy, happy, and confident as they raise their little ones.
They work with midwives, GPs, paediatricians, local family hubs and voluntary organisations to provide the best possible care to you and your family.
School nurses are the key people linking education and health. They take over from the health visitor when children start school and support them until they leave school at 19.
If your child is home educated and you would like some advice from the school nurse, please contact the team. If you have concerns about your school age child you can phone a School Nurse or attend a local drop-in session.
