Vaccine

Information on the NHS vaccine delivery plan

Everyone invited to get their COVID-19 vaccination is urged to get it as soon as possible to protect themselves and reduce the virus's spread to others.

Please note:

Changes to Covid-19 vaccine booster doses

Some people are at increased risk, for example, because of age or certain medical conditions, may be offered a seasonal booster later this year. If you are eligible for this, the NHS will contact you when it’s your turn to get vaccinated.

  • Please ensure your GP has your up-to-date contact details so they can invite you to a vaccination appointment. If you're not registered with a GP, it is easy to do this - find GP practices near you.
  • You do not need to be registered with a GP to attend walk-in sessions.

Are the vaccines safe?

Our vaccines have been approved for use in the UK and have been through rigorous tests and approval processes to prove they are safe and effective.

They have met strict standards of safety, quality and effectiveness set out by the independent Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA). More information on safety is available on the NHS website.
