Secondary school waiting list

If you don't get a place at your first choice school we will add you to the waiting list.

If a place becomes available we will contact the parent of the child at the top of the waiting list and offer the place. You must confirm you want the place before we change the allocated school.

We will manage the waiting list until the beginning of September 2023. After this, we must keep a waiting list until the end of December 2023.

We do not have to maintain a waiting list after 31 December but we will do this for all schools in the in-year scheme. To stay on the waiting list you will need to:

• make an in-year application in December 2023
• email or write to us to confirm that you want your child to stay on the waiting list before the start of each half term
• complete a new application form the following September if you are still waiting for a place
