Parking for motorcycles is free in car parks run by us, provided it is within the designated motorcycle parking area and not within a marked Pay & Display bay.

Time limits apply in short stay car parks, as with any other user.

In car parks where there are no designated motorcycle parking areas, please park considerately outside of a parking bay. There are no charges for motorcycle parking unless the vehicle is within a parking bay, then normal charges apply. Failure to display a ticket when using a marked Pay & Display bay will result in the issue of a Penalty Charge Notice. If you purchase a Pay & Display ticket and produce it when you challenge a Penalty Charge Notice, the Penalty Charge Notice will be cancelled, as we accept that many motorcycles do not have a secure area where a ticket can be displayed.

On street parking

Where dedicated motorcycle parking bays are provided on street which are marked on the road and signed with the motorcycle symbol, parking is free for all motorcycles.

Otherwise motorcycles parked outside of these areas must follow the same terms and conditions as other motor vehicles and park in a marked pay and display bay and the rider must purchase a ticket for the duration of the stay. Tickets should be affixed to the motorcycle using a secure ticket holder available from any good motorcycle accessory store, or alternatively the rider should take the ticket with them and will be required to produce the ticket if a Penalty Charge Notice is issued to the motorcycle.
