Torbay Baton of Hope

Baton of Hope Torbay is dedicated to raising suicide awareness, promoting mental health and inspiring hope through community action

Baton of Hope comes to Torbay on 30 September

The Baton of Hope is the UK's largest suicide prevention initiative.

This national event will see the baton carried across the UK.

It's like the Olympic torch but it celebrates mental wellbeing and honours those lost to suicide.

Torbay hosts a one-day leg of the tour on Tuesday 30 September.

It's the only area in the South West to be part of the 2025 tour.

Suicide survivors and those bereaved by suicide will help carry the baton.

The baton walking route will go through Torquay, Paignton and Brixham and feature events and activities along the way.

It will end with a final celebration event with entertainment for all.

The day is being organised by the Torbay Suicide Prevention Partnership.

We're a member of the partnership along with other organisations.

The partnership coordinates suicide prevention activity.
