We demolished the multi-storey car park in 2004. Since then we have thought about various ideas for the site that can deliver more for the town.
In October 2021, we secured £675,000 for this project from the Brownfield Land Release Fund.
Working with the community we are going to use this funding to build up to 70 affordable homes without losing any car parking spaces.
We hope that building work will start in early 2023 and finish a year later.
