Accelerated projects

We found out in October 2020 that Torquay will receive a significant investment of £21.9 million from the Towns Fund.

With the £750,000 of accelerated funding we got, we finished three projects quickly.

Upton Park

• Zones created to make best use of the location
• Tree works to increase light levels
• Tree replanting scheme
• Lighting upgraded
• Brought back the netball courts

Princess Gardens

• Better access and events space
• Landscape enhancements
• Enhanced illuminations

Royal Terrace Gardens

• Landscape enhancements
• Improved illuminations and lighting
• LIGHTPLAY creative lighting
