This Strategy has been developed in response to Part 4 of the Domestic Abuse Act 2021 and sets out how Torbay Council will respond to its statutory duty to provide support to victim-survivors of Domestic Violence and Abuse (DVA) and their children in safe accommodation.
It follows the safe accommodation journey of victim-survivors from finding a safe place to stay and getting support in safe accommodation, to moving on to a new, permanent home. The Strategy is accompanied by an action plan setting out how the recommendations will be acted upon.
