Disapplication of the DPS for Community Premises

The Licensing Act 2003 sometimes allows community premises to operate without needing a designated premises supervisor.

“Community premises” are defined as premises that are wholly, or form part of:

  • (a) - a church hall, chapel hall or other similar building, or
  • (b) - a village hall, parish hall, community hall or other similar building

We consider each application on a case-by-case basis. We will use information provided to check that the premises are mainly used for community benefit.

Please read our guidance notes below on the Disapplication of the DPS process. You can also contact us to find out more.
