We are on a ground floor with no steps to negotiate for those with mobility issues. We have “accessible” toilets available for use for all service users. Staff are trained and experienced at working with and supporting those with learning disabilities, mental health issues, mental illness and behavioural issues including ASD, ADHD to maximise the Warm Space offer. A range of refreshments is available to meet the nutritional needs of those with life limiting or threatening allergies, such as allergies to dairy or gluten. We have personnel trained in administering first aid and resuscitation. Our building is situated on one of the main roads in Torquay with significant footfall with a bus stop outside.
We provide a warm welcoming space for all Torbay residents particularly the most vulnerable who may feel excluded from their local neighbourhood. We offer hot food to be eaten on site & take away for those who have no or limited cooking facilities. All those attending have access to other services available on site, such as WIFI, free telephone use, foodbank/club, babybank, Homestore, financial services support and many more.
