Warm Spaces in Torbay (Winter 2025–2026)

The Warm Spaces initiative for winter 2025–2026 has now finished.

We would like to say a huge thank you to all the community organisations, charities, faith groups and venues who took part and offered a warm, welcoming space for local residents during the colder months. Your support has made a real difference to people across Torbay.

Thank you to our Warm Space providers

We are extremely grateful to everyone who opened their doors as part of the Warm Spaces initiative. Feedback from this year shows how valuable these spaces were to people who needed somewhere safe, warm and welcoming during winter.

What people told us

People who used Warm Spaces told us how much they appreciated the welcome, comfort and sense of community they found.

Feedback highlighted themes such as:

  • feeling less isolated and more connected to others
  • having access to a safe, warm place during cold weather
  • appreciating the kindness and friendliness of staff and volunteers
  • benefiting from opportunities to sit, talk, have a hot drink or take part in activities

What happens next?

We are hoping to offer a similar Warm Spaces initiative for winter 2026–2027.

If you are a community organisation and may be interested in taking part, watch this space.

Information about submitting Expressions of Interest will be shared later this year.
