Parking with a blue badge

You can park with your badge in the following places in Torbay:

On-street parking

You must not cause an obstruction whether visually or physically when you park.

  • double or single yellow lines - for 3 hours or less (with a badge and clock)
  • limited waiting bay (where the sign says one hour, no return within two hours etc) - free of charge for as long as you need
  • on street pay and display bays - free of charge for as long as you need

Car parks

There is no free parking or extra time for blue badge holders in any of our car parks.

If you're a regular car park user you can apply for a disabled parking permit. The permit allows a Blue Badge holder to park for free in most of our car parks.

Disabled bays

Some disabled bays have a time limit on the sign. You must display your time clock with your blue badge when you park in these bays.

Lost, stolen or damaged blue badges

You can ask for a new blue badge to replace one that’s been lost, stolen or damaged. You can ask for yourself or someone else.

Get a replacement blue badge

If your badge is due to expire in less than 3 months, you need to reapply instead.
