Watercourses and streams, are the responsibility of riparian owners. You are a riparian owner if a watercourse flows through the boundary or along the curtilage of your property.

Riparian owners have a duty to keep the watercourse clear of any obstruction and to ensure it flows correctly. At certain locations screens are located within open streams to prevent debris from entering and potentially blocking piped sections of streams (culverts) which flow through our land. These screens are checked and maintained on a regular basis by our contractor TOR2. For information on specific locations that are regularly checked and cleaned, please call 01803 701316 or report online.
