Contaminated Land Strategy

We have a strategy on how we identify and deal with contaminated land within Torbay. It details the way in which contaminated sites are dealt with in Torbay following general good practice. We have a statutory duty to do this. It is in two parts that run side by side:

1. Identify sites where there is immediate concern. We inspect these sites. Where necessary we will create a plan to fix any problems and remove the risk.
2. The effective identification of sites that we think may be contaminated.
