In order for us to administer any reward scheme it is important that we collect basic contact details so we are able to contact a nominee or the person making a nomination. We will also hold any information provided about why the person nominated deserves the award.

It is important that we are able to promote positive stories and to celebrate the efforts and achievements of people and groups across Torbay. Therefore we collect the information from the nomination forms in order to pursue our legitimate interests.
Following receipt of nominations, we rely on consent to publish or promote any details about winners. If you are aged 13 or over, we will seek your consent. If you are under 13 or have difficulty in making your own decisions then we will seek consent from your parent/guardian.
You can withdraw your consent at any time.
Do we share your information?
Information will be shared with any judging panels and, where we have consent, information will be shared with our communications team so they can issue press releases and publish stories on our website and social media pages, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn.
We will only share personal information with law enforcement or other authorities if we are required to do so by law.
How long do we keep your information?
We will only keep your personal information for the purpose of administering these awards and all nomination forms will be securely destroyed after one year, although any information published through a third party such as newspapers or via social media will be publicly available for as long as the article is published.

For competitions run for children we will also collect information such as age and date of birth.
