How our Young Person Panel makes a difference
The panel work together on many different types of projects. Here are just a few ways they have helped improve services in Torbay.
- Creating promotional information about our services
The panel helped to produce a safeguarding leaflet aimed at young people for our Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO)
- Giving feedback on our training
They gave feedback on our Language that Cares training, offered to professionals in Torbay.
- Sharing their views and opinions
The panel attended the Relational Practice Conference and shared opinions on the importance of involving young people.
- Judging awards
They helped shortlist, score and choose winners for the Children and Young People’s Awards.
- Provide training for and participation in interviews - They are trained to take part in interviews. These interviews are for new council jobs.
