You will need to advertise on site and in the local newspaper if you submit an application for:

• a new premises licence
• a new club premises certificate
• a provisional statement
• a full variation to a premises
• a full variation to a club premises certificate

When to advertise your application

You should advertise your application on site for 28 days, from the day after the application has been accepted.

You will also need to advertise the application in a local newspaper.

You need to display your notice prominently at the premises. Download the site notice, which includes the requirements for advertising your application.

How to publish a notice in the local newspaper

You need to advertise your notice in a local newspaper:

• You should select a newspaper that is circulated in the vicinity of the premises (Torbay Weekly or the Herald Express).
• You should send a copy of the site notice to the newspaper.
• It must be published once, within 10 working days.
