We have had to change the way that some of our services operate to meet the guidelines set out by the government in response to the Coronavirus pandemic.

We offer a Licensing Act 2003 pre-application advice service to help with the application process.

This service can give guidance and advice to:

  • New applications
  • Full variations to licences

This service is only available by appointment and can be carried out face to face or electronically, whichever is best for you.

There is a non-refundable fee of £130 for up to two hours.

Any pre-application advice you receive cannot prejudge the outcome of an application. Your application will be subject to a statutory consultation period and therefore we are unable to give any guarantees about the decision that will be made.

The pre-application advice service ends once an application is submitted.

If any representations are made the officer who gave the pre-application advice will not deal with your application.

After your appointment if you require more specific advice you should contact a specialist licensing consultant or solicitor.

You are strongly encouraged to liaise with the Responsible Authorities before you submit an application. you can find contact details on the New premises licence page.
