Start Up, Stay Up, Scale Up is a central business support programme led by Torbay Council. We have taken the most successful parts of previous UKSPF funded business support programmes and merged them together to ensure consistency and maximum benefit for businesses. The new model will ensure businesses of every size and industry can be supported to achieve their ambitions, whether they’re just starting out or looking to exponentially grow.
Start Up Torbay aims to provide continued support to Torbay’s entrepreneurial spirit and give people the confidence, skills, and practical advice they need to start a business. Participants will have access to a 6 week in-person start up workshop, designed to foster the essential skills and knowledge required to start a business, 121 meetings with an impartial business advisor, and varied workshops and seminars from local experts on anything from digital marketing, AI and tax.
Additionally, if you’re a budding or new Social Enterprise, we can provide dedicated support through local experts Local Spark.

The Scale Up element of the business support programme is dedicated to those businesses who are looking to grow, innovate and push their enterprises forward. Support on offer includes dedicated support from London based Innovation experts Studio Zao, accredited Innovation accreditations and tailored sessions, workshops and hackathons, all designed to accelerate your business to new levels.
