Torbay received around £2.4 million in UK Shared Prosperity funding (UKSPF) from the Government to deliver community‑led initiatives over a four‑year period.
With Government funding, we have worked hard to increase people’s life chances and create a Torbay where people are proud to live, work and visit. All UKSPF projects came to an end in April 2026, but the lasting benefits are still being felt in communities across the Bay.
UKSPF funding supported 15 diverse local projects in total, delivered by a wide range of partner organisations. Spending and project delivery were aligned with Torbay’s Economic Growth Strategy 2022-30, ensuring that economic growth was prioritised and achieved in a sustainable way.
We invested our allocation to support local businesses, boost opportunities for local people and create spaces for communities to enjoy. Some of the many highlights include:
The UKSPF programme has now come to an end but businesses and community groups from across Torbay can still benefit from a wide range of support from the Torbay Council Economy Team. The team host and organise a variety of events and workshops throughout the year to support Torbay’s business community to thrive and are on hand to offer funding advice.
