Financial advice

The Society of Later Life Advisors (SOLLA) have specialist independent financial advisors. They have undertaken specific training and registration for this area of work. The Department of Health recommends SOLLA. There are some advisors based in Devon.

The government’s Money Helper website has tips to plan ahead for a time when you can’t manage your own finances.

Planning for future care needs

Many of us will need care and support at some point in our lives. Most people will pay something towards the cost of their care. Any decisions will consider your wellbeing and what is important to you and your family. The aim is you staying healthy and independent for longer.

Having access to advice and information is important. This means that you and your family have a good awareness of what is available. This helps to enable planning and lets you prepare for future care costs.
