Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs) are used to provide more information and guidance on the policies in the Local Plan. They can be based on certain topics such as transport or design, or they can be specific to certain places.

The following SPDs have been adopted and should be considered when submitting planning applications in the context of the Local Plan.

These masterplans have been produced to deliver high quality development and the revival of places.

The Planning Contributions and Affordable Housing SPD sets out our approach to Section 106 planning contributions.  It provides additional detail to deliver the Local Plan. It was adopted by Council on 2 February 2017. The SPD is available below.

This document brings PHAA policy in line with the Tourism Strategy and to take a more relaxed stance on the change of use of smaller and outdated accommodation to other uses.
