We have had to change the way that some of our services operate to meet the guidelines set out by the government in response to the Coronavirus pandemic.
We have to give 3 months' notice regarding future, substantial roadwork's taking place in Torbay. The purpose of publishing the information is to give opportunity to persons with an interest in the street to declare any works that might affect the integrity of the resurfacing. Preventing or reducing the number of excavations in a newly resurfaced road will ensure the road has the best chance of reaching its designed life.
Statutory Undertakers will notify the council of major works well in advance of their intention to excavate but private works such as property development which may include utility service alterations in the highway may not be known about in advance.
If you have are aware of any reason why the road resurfacing should not take place, you should contact us with an explanation of your interest in the works.
