There are two options available to access records
We hold records of applications for Planning Permission made from 1980 onwards. They are on the Planning Online database. We do not hold copies of plans for every property built in Torbay. We only hold only those submitted as part of planning applications. We hold records of planning applications made before 1980, but not plans. We are working to put decision notices from 1 August 1977 to 31 December 1979 online. We aim to complete this by December 2024.
If you are purchasing a property and using a solicitor, it is likely that they will undertake a Local Authority Search. This would be a routine part of their conveyancing service.
