Benefits of joining a participation group

Discover the rewards and support offered to young people at our groups

We value the commitment our young people make when they join a participation group. In return, we have a range of ways we recognise and reward their achievements and contributions.

We also have some fun social events!

Skills development

We offer training and support to help young participants develop valuable skills.

Recognition and support

We acknowledge the contributions and achievements of young participants and provide ongoing support. This includes:

  • AQA units
By crediting young people for participating with us, they gain formal recognition for their contributions.
  • Vouchers
We use vouchers to reward participation, but they are not given for every activity. This ensures that they remain a special and meaningful incentive.
  • Certificates and awards
These can be a formal way to acknowledge their contributions, participation and achievements.
  • Public recognition
We do this by highlighting their efforts in newsletters, social media and during events.
  • Leadership opportunities
Offering roles in projects or initiatives can empower them and recognise their potential.

Team building and social events

As well as the regular sessions, we also host social events. These include a Christmas party for all three groups and team building events at venues such as Woodlands and Viva.

To join the Children in Care Council, email one of our participation officers, or send them a message on WhatsApp on 07500 608141 or 07785 934552.
