2-year-old targeted funding application guide

Starting your application

Start the application process by accessing the targeted two-year-old funding.

Once you have clicked on the 'Apply for the 2-year-old funding' link you will see a screen with six options:

• Early Years Funding
• 2-year-old targeted funding
• Torbay Family Hub
• Synergy provider portal: Early Years Providers
• Parent/carer account
• Apply for the 2-year-old targeted funding

You will need to sign in or create a parent or carer account by clicking on the ‘Parent/carer account’ option.

Creating your account

If you are a new user, please create an account using the ’Create account’ button.

If you are a returning user, please log in using your user name (this is usually your email address) and password.

If you are creating a new account, the ‘Create account’ screen will ask for your personal details, including your:

• Title
• Forename
• Surname
• Contact details

Please fill out all the fields to make sure your account is up to date.

When filling out your address, you will need to click the ‘add address’ button. This will give you the option to input your postcode and pick your address from a drop down list.

When you have filled in all details and created a password, select the ‘create’ button.

Verify your account

You will now receive a verification email to your email address. You need to verify your account before you can progress with your application. If you do not receive a verification email, please contact the early years team: earlyyears@torbay.gov.uk

When you log into the portal, the ‘Account management’ screen will be displayed. From here you can access:

• Account info: check and update your personal details and add you child our children’s information
• Applications: view existing applications
• Documents: view existing documents
• Notifications: edit your notification preferences

You can also access the:

• Early Years Funding
• 2-year-old targeted funding
• Apply for the 2-year-old targeted funding

Starting an application

To start an application, please select ‘Apply for 2-year-old targeted funding’.

There are three short steps to the application process. Please make sure all details are entered correctly to allow the system to perform an eligibility check.

1. Fill in your details – you will need your NI or NASS number and your date of birth.
2. Select the child or children you are applying for. If you have already added a child previously and want to apply for them, please tick the check box next to their name. Select ‘new child’ to add new children. You will need to input their name, date of birth and gender.
3. Add supporting documents. Add any supporting documents such as proof of Disability Living allowance or cared for child status. If you have no supporting documents, please tick the ‘confirm that you wish to proceed box’ to continue to your results. Click on ‘Submit your application.’

After submitting your application, you will see your eligibility results. They will either show as:

• ‘Found’ if you are eligible or
• ‘Not found’ if we can’t recognise your details or you are not eligible

If you are eligible

If you are eligible, your screen will show the child you applied for, along with their eligibility code. Please give this this code to your chosen childcare setting. You can view this code again from the ‘Applications’ page.

If you are not eligible

If your result is ‘not found’ it means you are either not eligible or your details may not be correct.

If you think you should be eligible, please go through the application process to double check you entered the correct information. If all information is correct, please contact earlyyears@torbay.gov.uk and we can perform a manual check.

There are two options on the results page: 'Restart' or 'Finish'. To get back to the homepage, please click ‘finish’. If you wish to restart your application to double check details, please click ‘restart’.

To view your existing applications, please navigate to the Account management screen. Here you can view your applications and eligibility codes for your children.
