Asking to see your records

Request to access the information we hold about you

You have the right to ask to see your social care records at any time. This is called making a subject access request.

If you would like to see your records, talk to your personal advisor. They will ask you why you wish to access your records. You do not have to share this information, but it will help us to make sure you have the right support in place during the process.

We recognise that accessing records can be upsetting and stressful. For many care experienced young people, accessing additional information is a necessary part of them being able to make sense of their own identity.
