Apply full plans application

How to make a full plans application for building regulations for your building project.

A full plans application is where copies of the plans are also submitted. We will check the plans for compliance with building regulations. We will issue an approval notice if we agree the plans comply. If we need further information or clarification, we will contact you or your agent. You can then complete necessary amendments before the issue of an approval.

Your formal approval notice will remain valid for 3 years from the date of deposit. You are then safe in the knowledge that you have satisfied the regulations. This is as long as you and your builder constructs using those plans. Remember the regulations do not cover everything.

The submitted plans need to show full details of the proposed works. This requires a full working knowledge of construction the building regulations. Please seek professional advice if you do not have this knowledge.

You can find more information about what you need to include with your application on the back of the form.
