In the latest improvement to SWISCo frontline waste and recycling services residents are now able to book a slot for bulky waste collections online using their smartphone, laptop, or tablet.

Using the new quick and simple online booking system residents can organise a bulky waste collection from SWISCo, for a small fee, to dispose of unwanted large items.

For those who do not have access to the internet, phone booking is still available, but queuing may occur, so for those who can – please book online.

Councillor Mike Morey, Cabinet Member for Infrastructure, Environment and Culture for Torbay Council, said: “We are always looking for ways to improve the services available to residents, and although the current phone system is working well, we wanted to offer an online booking system to make it more efficient, freeing the call centre staff to take more calls relating to kerbside collections.
