Planned roadworks on Brixham Road

Overnight on Thursday 26 November planned roadworks will take place on Brixham Road in Churston Ferrers.

Overnight on Thursday 26 November planned roadworks will take place on Brixham Road in Churston Ferrers.

The section of Brixham Road between Elberry Lane to Alston Lane will be closed overnight for resurfacing work. Works will commence at 7pm and continue throughout the night.

This stretch of Brixham Road will be closed and traffic will be diverted.

During the planned works, all high sided vehicles are advised to use Kingswear Road to leave Brixham, to avoid the low bridge of 12ft 9 at Churston Road.

The resurfacing work will be carried out by our partner contractor Cormac Contracting.

Councillor Mike Morey, Cabinet Member for Infrastructure, Environment and Culture for Torbay Council, said: “As part of our continuous commitment to structural maintenance and road safety across the Bay, these works are necessary and need to be carried out. The work will be completed overnight to minimise any disruption.”
