Friend and family evictions

Find out how we can help if you are living with friends or family and they have asked you to leave.

If you are living with friends or family being asked to leave is one of the main causes of homelessness. This can be very distressing for everyone. We will try to negotiate with the family or friends to allow you to stay within the home environment.

The security of staying in the home means you can plan your future housing and we can help with this. This avoids any unnecessary disruption, especially for families with children.

What happens next

After you have completed the form, we will call you. We will ask you about your situation and talk to the person asking you to leave.

We will also make a telephone call to the person asking you to leave. The person asking you to leave must be there when we call.

During the call, we will talk about your housing options in full. The aim is to stop you from being homeless straight away and give you time to look at your options. We can then make a plan together for you to move on.
