Service changes
Find out about changes to services on 19 September 2022 due to the Queen's funeral.
Waste and recycling collections
As a mark of respect, SWISCo will not be collecting waste and recycling on the day of the funeral. The Recycling Centre at Tor Park Road in Paignton will also be closed.
Collections will continue as normal from Tuesday 20 September and crews will be working on Saturday 24 September to complete as many rounds as possible.
If your waste and recycling isn’t collected on your usual day, please leave it out and crews will collect as soon as possible.
Collections will continue as normal throughout the rest of the week.
Street cleansing
The Street Cleansing team will be working with a reduced staff until 10am on Monday 19 September.
Normal service will begin again at 5am on Tuesday 20 September.
Parks and grounds
The Parks and Grounds Maintenance team will not be working on Monday 19 September.
Bus travel
Stagecoach will be operating a Bank Holiday Sunday service on Monday 19 September 2022.
Torbay Buses, Country Bus, The Torbay Community Development Trust, and the Dartmouth Steam Railway & Riverboat Company will not be operating services on this day.
