Jobseekers are invited to the Torbay Jobs Fair where there will be hundreds of jobs on offer across a wide range of sectors and industries.

The event is free to attend and will take place at Torquay Town Hall Assembly Rooms on Friday 20 October from 10am to 12:30pm. Over 40 employers will be in attendance, including Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, Torbay Council, South Devon College, Beverley Holidays, Willmott Dixon and the Mercure and Ibis Styles hotels.

The jobs on offer include part-time, full-time, and seasonal work across administration, care, construction, customer service, hospitality, retail, sales and more.

Organised by TDA in partnership with Torbay Council and Jobcentre Plus, the free event is open to everyone looking for work. Jobseekers are advised to bring a copy of their CV and can just turn up on the day, with no booking required.

Jobcentre Plus will be on hand to offer job application and CV advice and TDA will be offering support to start-ups and people in self-employment.

Councillor Chris Lewis, Cabinet Member for Place Services and Economic Growth for Torbay Council, said: ‘‘The Torbay Jobs Fair is a popular event which offers a fantastic opportunity for residents to discover live vacancies and meet employers face-to-face. Last year, over 400 people attended the event with many successfully securing new jobs and training opportunities. We’re delighted to hold the event again this year and are pleased to have a wide variety of employers. If you’re looking for a new career or training opportunity, then make sure to come along. People of all ages, backgrounds and levels of experience are welcome.’’
