Residents looking to kick-start a new career, find a new job, develop their skills or explore training opportunities are invited to attend the Torbay Jobs Fair which is returning this year on Friday 16 October.

Organised by our Economy Team in partnership with Jobcentre Plus, the popular event is free to attend and open to everyone, regardless of age, qualifications or work experience.

With over 40 employers and skills providers set to attend, it's an opportunity for residents to meet businesses and organisations face-to-face, discuss current opportunities, and make valuable connections.  

As in previous years Jobcentre Plus will be on hand to offer job application and CV advice, and members of our Economy Team will also be there to offer business start-up, and self- employment guidance.

This year, members of Torbay's Connect to Work delivery partnership, managed by Eat That Frog, will also be attending. They will be sharing more information about the supported employment programme and explaining how it can support residents with long term health conditions, or who are facing other complex barriers to employment, to find and stay in work.

The Jobs Fair will be taking place in Torquay Town Hall's Assembly Rooms on Friday 16 October.

It will start at 9am with a dedicated quiet session for those who need additional support to experience the event at a quieter time, before doors open fully to the public between 10am and 12.30pm.
