Torre Abbey is delighted to announce the return of its popular Summer Fair which will be taking place on Saturday 22 August from 11am to 4pm.
Now in its fourth year, the much-loved community event promises a vibrant day packed with live performances, animal encounters, local traders and hands-on activities for all ages.
Whether you're looking for family fun, local entertainment, unique shopping, or the chance to learn more about Torbay's rich heritage, Torre Abbey's Summer Fair offers something for everyone.
Visitors are invited to come and enjoy the lively atmosphere, as the historic grounds of Torre Abbey are transformed into a bustling summer celebration featuring more than 30 stalls showcasing local businesses, artisans, charities and community organisations.
A range of food vendors and a licensed bar will also be available, offering plenty of options for refreshments throughout the day.
Animal lovers are in for a treat, with opportunities to get up close to a variety of friendly and fascinating creatures, with Lakemoor Alpacas and South West Animal Encounters.
Animals in Distress will also be hosting the popular Fun Dog Show, giving canine companions the chance to show off their skills and personalities. Weather contingency plans are in place should temperatures become too high.
The Summer Fair provides a fantastic opportunity to meet some of the organisations that help support the local community. Visitors will be able to explore a fire engine from Torquay Fire Station, view a police vehicle from Torquay Police, and see a SWISCo tractor up close. Torbay Fostering will also be on hand to discuss fostering opportunities, while Torquay Library will be offering information and family activities.
There will also be a packed programme of entertainment for visitors to enjoy throughout the day, including:
- Samba Rock - 11:15am to 11:45am
