News Release PR9481 - published on 27 April 2026

Have you ever thought about Fostering? Our Fostering team will be attending a series of local events across Torbay and wider Devon throughout May including Foster Care Fortnight (11 – 24 May) and would love to see you.

The 2026 campaign theme for Foster Care Fortnight is ‘This is Fostering,’ focusing on showcasing real stories, celebrating the fostering community, and recruiting new carers.

Councillor Nick Bye, Cabinet Member for Children’s Services, said: “Our Fostering team are looking forward to getting out and about at events across the Bay and surrounding areas throughout May as part of our celebrations for Foster Care Fortnight.

“We are very pleased to once again support Foster Care Fortnight, which puts the spotlight on the vital role our local Foster Carers play in supporting children in our community.

“So if you are thinking about Fostering and want to find out more, why not come along to one of the events to chat to our team.”
