Christmas party for Fostering families in Torbay

We hosted a Christmas party for all our Fostering families in Torbay to say thank you for everything they do.

We were pleased to once again be able to host a Christmas party for all our Fostering families at Upton Vale Church.

There was Christmas party music, games, a raffle and the event was also attended by Torbay Council's Fostering team, Council Leader David Thomas, Cllr Nick Bye, Cabinet Member for Children's Services, and Cllr Cordelia Law. The Christmas party is one of a number of events we hold for Foster Carers throughout the year, including the Train of Lights (thanks to Dartmouth Steam Railway), Summer BBQ, as well as regular Foster Carer Forums.

Fostering families also get a range of support including free access to a beach hut, passes for Paignton Zoo, tickets for home games for Torquay United Football Club and much more.

Watch the video to hear Councillor Nick Bye and Luminita Burtic, Team Manager for Intensive Fostering Support with our Fostering service, talking about the Fostering Christmas party and why we need more people to come forward as Foster Carers here in Torbay.

If you are interested in Fostering please call 01803 207845, email fostering@torbay.gov.uk or visit our webpages.
