We are once again inviting jobseekers from across the Bay to visit the Torbay Jobs Fair which is returning on Friday 10 October.
Organised by our Economy Team in partnership with Job Centre Plus, the popular event is free to attend and open to anyone looking for work, or for more information about local job opportunities.
With over 50 employers and skills providers set to attend this year, there will be hundreds of opportunities being showcased across different sectors and industries, ranging from health and care, construction, customer service, hospitality and retail.
Whether you’re looking for full-time, part-time, seasonal or temporary work, the event provides potential candidates the opportunity to meet with employers face-to-face, discuss current vacancies and make valuable connections.
Job Centre Plus will be on hand to offer job application and CV advice, and our Economy Team will also be there to offer business start-up, and self- employment guidance.
The Torbay Jobs Fair is taking place on Friday 10 October in the Assembly Room at Torquay Town Hall from 9am to midday.
There will be a Disability Confident session, managed by Job Centre Plus, from 9am to 9:30am, when attendees who need additional support will be able to experience the event during a quieter time. Doors will then open fully to public at 9:30am.
Councillor Chris Lewis, Cabinet Member for Place Development and Economic Growth, and Deputy Leader of the Council said:
“We’re delighted to be hosting the Torbay Jobs Fair once again this year and to have so many employers and skills providers lined up to showcase their opportunities.
“It’s an excellent opportunity for local people to connect with local employers, explore different career pathways, and stay informed about the local job market. All are welcome, so no matter what your age or experience please do come along and find out more!”
