Information about the telecare service for Torbay residents following the closure of NRS Healthcare

Following NRS Healthcare going into liquidation, Appello who are the call monitoring centre have sent letters to individuals to reassure them about the service they are receiving and possible next steps in terms of funding their service.

Following NRS Healthcare going into liquidation, Appello who are the call monitoring centre have sent letters to individuals to reassure them about the service they are receiving and possible next steps in terms of funding their service.

Whilst these letters should only have gone to those individuals who pay for their service privately, we are aware that letters have also been received by individuals who are funded by Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust (TSDFT).

If you have a received one of these letters, but are funded by TSDFT, please press your telecare device and speak to the call monitoring centre operative. Please inform them that you are funded by TSDFT and they will then update their system to indicate this.

We apologise for any confusion these letters may have caused.
