Our Learning Disability Ambassadors are excited to be hosting ‘The Big BASH’ event on Tuesday 17 June at Torbay Leisure Centre from 10am to 2pm.
BASH stands for Being Active, Safe and Healthy and the event will demonstrate lots of ways we can get active and stay safe and healthy. There will be more than 50 local organisations attending, with activities including Zumba, laughing yoga, ROC Active Sessions, and safety talks from Devon and Cornwall Police, the RNLI and many others.
The event follows the success of the Ambassadors event last year and forms part of the longer-term strategy ‘The Big Plan for Learning Disabilities’. It is aimed at people with Learning Disabilities, their families, carers and friends.
There is no need to book – feel free to come and go as you please. There is subsidised parking – pay for one hour (from the machine in the Torbay Leisure Centre car park, not RingGo), stay for the whole event (a voucher will be available from the welcome desk at the Leisure Centre reception to display in your car). Entry is free.
