Looking for fun and affordable activities to do with the kids this summer? Cockington Court has launched a ‘Children’s Pirate Voyage’ that will entertain the family for just £1 per child.

The pirate-themed trail takes you through the grounds and studios of Cockington Court and the businesses of Cockington Village as you hunt down items for your voyage.

Use your trusty pirate map to navigate your journey and complete fun activities along the way. Make sure to look out for the hidden treasure chests where you’ll find stamps for your logbook.

Cockington Court Director, Marissa Wakefield, said: ‘‘The Children’s Pirate Voyage is a fantastic way to entertain the kids this summer, without breaking the bank. For just £1 per child, you can embark on an exciting trail around the beautiful Cockington Court grounds and creative studios and through Cockington Village. It’s great fun for children and a lovely way to see all that Cockington has to offer.’’

The Children’s Pirate Voyage is open daily from 10:30am – 4:30pm until 1 September and costs £1 per child. There is no need to book in advance, just collect a map and activity sheet from the Hub & Craft Shop inside the Cockington Court Manor House.

Running alongside the Pirate Voyage is Cockington Court’s annual sculpture trail. The pirate and deep-sea themed trail features over 30 sculptures around the Cockington Court estate. The Sculpture Trail is open to the public daily, 10:30am – 4:30pm, until 3 November 2024. To take part, collect a free map from inside the Manor House.

Visitors can also enjoy one of the many dog-friendly walks around the estate, have a bite to eat in the Seven Dials café, visit the creative makers in their studios or do some shopping in the gallery.
