There is just one more week to have your say on Torbay’s draft Adult Social Care Strategy if you have not yet had the chance.
Torbay Council and Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust have been working with community and voluntary and care sectors to co-produce a new vision for adult social care in Torbay. We want thriving communities where people can prosper.
Councillor Hayley Tranter, Adult and Community Services, Public Health and Inequalities for Torbay Council, said: “Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to respond to our survey so far – we really value your input and I would urge anyone in Torbay who either uses Adult Social Care services or works in health or care to take the opportunity to have your say.”
The priorities identified in the Strategy include:
- Helping people to live well and independently
- Helping people to regain their independence
- Helping people with care and support needs to live independently, safely and with choice and control
The Council is seeking to consult in relation to the Adult Social care strategy in a new way which will give real opportunity for people to influence the strategy. It builds on the work undertaken through the Community Led Support programme and with the National Development Team for Inclusion (NDTi) which started in 2018.
- The Adult Social Care Strategy is available on our website and you can have your say on the online survey.
The survey closes on Friday 28 July.
Other consultations
Don't forget the Your Say Torbay Residents Survey is also still live and closes on Sunday 23 July - we want to hear your views about life in Torbay and what our priorities are - don't miss the chance to have your say.
