Your views can help improve Adult Social Care in the Bay

If you have received a copy of a survey asking for feedback on the care you have received from the Adult Social Care teams over the past year, please take the time to complete it and return by Friday 10 March 2023.

If you have received a copy of a survey asking for feedback on the care you have received from the Adult Social Care teams over the past year, please take the time to complete it and return by Friday 10 March 2023.

Every year along with Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, on behalf of NHS Digital, we invite a selected group of residents to take part in this annual survey. The results from this are used to improve how adult social care services are delivered here in Torbay as well as nationally.

This survey seeks to understand more about how social care services are affecting people’s lives. It also asks about views on the services they have received and their quality of life.

Councillor Jackie Stockman, Cabinet Member for Adults and Public Health, said “If you have been one of our residents who has received this survey, can I ask you to take some time to complete it and return it to us. We really value all the responses we receive as they help to both inform future care provision locally as well as build a national picture of people’s experiences of adult social care.

“To do this we try to give the opportunity to participate in the survey to as many people as possible. This year over one thousand people are being asked to participate and, the more people who take part, the more useful the results will be to help us assess and improve our local services.

“Can I also ask you to check with your family and friends who have received care from our adult social care teams over the past year as they may have been asked to take part and may need some support in completing the survey.”

The surveys have been sent out with a pre-paid envelope for completed ones to be returned in.

All submissions will be kept fully confidential except where someone’s health appears to be at risk.

This may be followed up on to ensure that they are kept safe.
