For over a year we have been holding our meetings virtually to enable people to attend safely during the coronavirus pandemic.
However, the legislation which permitted this has ended so we adopted a hybrid approach to enable the decision-makers to meet safely in person with other people still being able to attend virtually.
A court hearing has now ruled that we are also required to allow people to attend in person if they wish.
Since making arrangements for the Cabinet being held later today as a hybrid meeting, we have received a number of requests for people to attend the Cabinet meeting in person which is beyond the safe numbers allowed in the room where the meeting was originally being held.
Therefore, we have postponed today’s Cabinet meeting to enable it to be held in a bigger venue to accommodate the numbers wishing to attend.
Our Cabinet meeting which was scheduled to take place at 5.30pm on Tuesday 18 May has been postponed until 5.30pm on Tuesday 25 May.
