
We are offering a range of special offers for nominated council owned car parks to help you shop local in November and December.
Reduced parking in our car parks in Brixham, Paignton and Torquay for special events and free parking for late night shopping on Thursdays in December are among the offers.
Remember, remember parking offers in November and December
Some of the bay’s biggest seasonal events take place in November and December and here are the local parking offers taking place:
- Torquay Carnival, Saturday 16 November - pay for an hour and stay for a day in Union Square, Lower Union Lane and Harbour car parks.
- Brixham Lanterns, Lights and ‘luminations event, Saturday 23 November – pay for an hour and stay for a day at Freshwater and Oxen Cove car parks.
- Christmas in Paignton, Saturday 7 December - pay for an hour, stay for a day at the Victoria car park.
Pay for an hour stay for a day, three December Sundays in Torbay
On Sunday 8, 15 and 22 December in our car parks in Torquay, Brixham and Paignton, you can pay for an hour and stay all day (please note it is only the Council owned car parks though - we are not responsible for privately owned car parks so please do check). These are the car parks it applies to:
- Brixham – Freshwater and Oxen Cove car park (You can also park in Central car park but there is a three hour limit for that one).
- Paignton – Victoria car park.
- Torquay – Union Square, Lower Union Lane and Harbour car parks.
Free parking on Thursday evenings
There will also be free parking on Thursday evenings on 5, 12 and 19 December after 6pm so if you want to do some late night shopping, have a Christmas do or are going to see a show then you will be able to park in the same car parks as the ones listed above.
Free on street parking in Torquay and Paignton
The usual free street parking in will still apply in Torquay and Paignton on Sundays in December on the following roads:
- Torquay – Magdalene Road, Lymington Road, Castle Road, Union Street, Babbacombe Road.
- Paignton – Palace Avenue.
