The Boundary Commission for England is undertaking a review of the Parliamentary Constituency Boundaries for Torbay, which includes the Torbay and Totnes Constituencies.

Currently the number of constituencies in the South West must reduce from 55 to 53, and by law, every constituency must contain between 71,031 and 78,507 electors.

This review is being undertaken to ensure that each Member of Parliament represents roughly the same number of constituents.

Proposals on this review have now been published and residents have until 11 December 2017 to feedback to the Boundary Commission for England what they think of them.

These proposals already reflect all the written comments received during the previous two consultations and all the comments made at the public hearings.

The final recommendations will be published and presented to Parliament in September 2018.
