Children, young people and parents are being encouraged to give their views about music provision across Torbay as Torbay Music Hub launches two separate online surveys today.
School-age children and young people (aged 5-18) living in the Bay are being given the chance to say what they think about music provision, both in and out of school.
Whether what motivates you is jamming in a band, singing with a choir, aspiring to be a virtuoso classical performer or just having fun, Torbay Music Hub want to hear you. This will include information about what music you like, what activities you like taking part in, and what you would like to be different.
Torbay Music Hub would also like to hear from parents and guardians. The Hub would like to know how they currently rate music provision, what are the barriers to their children and young people getting more involved, and what would improve music opportunities for their young people?
How to take part
The surveys can be found online and are anonymous, so no personal details are required. They are quick and easy to complete from a computer, tablet or mobile phone. The surveys can be found at:
Both surveys close on Monday 31 July.
Torbay Council’s Music Hub Lead, Annabelle Knowles, said “At Torbay Music Hub we are passionate about young people making music and we want to inspire and enable a musical journey for every young person in Torbay. Getting feedback from children, young people and their parents is really important – so please add your voice! We can’t promise to take up every suggestion, but we will use the survey results to help us plan for the future and create musical journeys that meet the aspirations of our children and young people”.
